4minute’s Hyuna Talks ‘Gangnam Style’ and Member Fights on ‘Tick Talk’

4minute may not be promoting as a group at the moment, but member Hyuna has been keeping busy, most recently appearing in Psy’s viral hit music video Gangnam Style and even starring in the female version of the song also keeping herself busy on her new album "Melting"

Insite TV recently caught up with the 4minute members, where they were each given 100 seconds to answer a few questions. 

From her thoughts on Gangnam Style to the kiss with fellow Trouble Maker member Jang Hyun Seung and celeb BFF f(x)’s Amber, the questions kept Hyuna on her toes as she fired off answers throughout the fast-paced interview. 

Curious to know if the 4minute members fight, and if so, what they fight about? Or how the busy 4minute member de-stresses these days? Hint: Everything has to do with food.

4minute’s HyunA: “If I Debut in America, I Want to with a Korean Song”


HyunA, from girl group 4minute, but who’s more well known for her solo works, has talked about the possibility of debuting in the States.
She has recently met up with a reporter who asked her if she’s thinking about advancing to the American market. She replied, “Just like Psy oppa, I want to receive love from the American fans singing a song with Korean lyrics.”
HyunA currently has one of the biggest chances among Korean artists of making it in America because of her high visibility throughout the world in Psy’s viral hit “Gangnam Style.” She was also featured in the female version “Oppa Is Just My Style,” which currently has over 118 million hits on Psy’s official youtube page.
Meanwhile, HyunA has cemented her promising future as a world-wide star receiving much love and interest through her 2nd solo album’s track “Ice Cream.”

Kim Hyuna's Ice Cream MV Make It to Top 9 Videos of the week on YouTube

Hyuna’s Ice Cream music video is continuing to prove to be too sweet to resist with viewers on YouTube.

The Huffington Post revealed the past week’s most-watched videos which is based off YouTube’s ‘YouTube Trends’ which aggregates the video site’s video stats and real-time trends. 

According to the site, Hyuna’s Ice Cream music video was the week’s third hottest video on YouTube coming behind the videos, ‘How to Pick up a Girl at the Gym’ and the new Iron Man 3 teaser trailer. 

The music video for Ice Cream continues to rack up views on YouTube with the latest view count showing it had some 17.6 million views (as of 11 a.m. October 31 KST). 

Proving the craze of parodying Psy’s Gangnam Style hadn’t died down yet, a “Minecraft Style” parody video also happened to come in fourth for the week, right behind Hyuna.

Kim Hyuna's Ice Cream MV surpassed 10 Million Views on YouTube

Whether its her music, Hyuna or both, Hyuna’s Ice Cream is proving a huge hit for viewers on YouTube. 

Hyuna’s Ice Cream music video was posted on YouTube on October 22 (KST) where it achieved a jaw-dropping 2 million plus views in its first day alone. 

Four days later, as of the early hours of October 26 (KST), the music video had shot past the 10 million view mark to become one of the fastest K-Pop videos to surpass the 10 million view mark in such a short amount of time. In fact, many outlets are reporting this achievement ties Hyuna with SNSD’s The Boys for being the fastest K-Pop video to reach 10 million views.
Hyuna herself is no stranger to being a global YouTube phenomena with her Bubble Pop music video having garnered over 37 million views while Psy’sGangnam Style, in which she makes a memorable appearance in, has gained over 531 million views and counting. 

Hyuna will held her comeback stage for Melting on KBS’ Music Bank on October 26.
